Last summer, friends, family, former students and the community came together for the inaugural Ray Schellenberger Snowball Foundation Golf Outing.
We played golf. We told stories. And together, we raised $11,000 for students at Evergreen Park Community High School.
In 2027, we do it again.
Bigger. More people. More money for students on the South Side of Chicago.

Funds from the inaugural outing went directly to Evergreen Park Community High School and the student leadership programs Ray spent years helping build.
Who was Ray?
To us, he was Dad, a husband, a friend and the guy who could make just about anyone feel like they belonged.
To generations of Evergreen Park students, he was Mr. Schelly, a guidance counselor, mentor and “Coacher.”
Ray dedicated his career to the next generation, including years helping lead Operation Snowball and developing young leaders.
That's the legacy we're carrying forward.
Help young people become leaders. Give them people who believe in them. Have some fun along the way.

What is Operation Snowball?
Operation Snowball has been part of Evergreen Park Community High School since 2004.
The program helps students build confidence, make healthy decisions and become leaders among their peers.
Ray helped lead Snowball for years and continued coming back to support the program after retiring.
That's why this foundation exists.
We want more students to have access to the opportunities and people that can shape the rest of their lives.
We go again in 2027.
Our committee is taking this year to build the best possible event for Ray.
More golfers. More friends. More former students. More stories.
And more money for students on the South Side of Chicago.
